As a result of the impacts of Coronavirus (Covid-19), Design Review Panel meetings will be held remotely by video conference.
The Panel aims to improve the quality of buildings and places for the benefit of the public.
It is made up of 26 independent and impartial leading professionals in the following fields of architecture:
- landscape architecture
- urban design
- environmental sustainability
- inclusive design
- development economics and delivery.
The Panel is provided by Frame Projects and is funded independently of the Council.
Applicants are referred to the Panel by the Council as an external service and fees are paid to Frame projects.
If we refer an application to the Panel, the design of a proposal is assessed and the Panel provides advice.

Costs
Applicants must pay the Panel costs.
These are:
- £4,950 for a formal review
- £2,750 for a chair’s or planning application review
- £1,650 for a surgery review
Prices do not include VAT.
